Winter Medicinal Meanderings at Tyler Arboretum

A three part series, classes held on January 14th, February 11th, and March 11th.

Join Katelyn Melvin of Tooth of the Lion Farm and Apothecary to investigate winter botany and herbal medicine. Each class is in two parts: part one is a medicinal plant walk highlighting aspects of winter plant identification, as well as herbal medicine connections. Part two focuses on medicinemaking demonstrations indoors including teas, salves, or tinctures. Each demonstration uses at least one of the plants discussed during the walk. You’ll go home with a product sample and the know-how to make your own kitchen medicine.
